Overview
This Privacy Notice serves as an official legal document issued by the operator of Brelan. This notice systematically elaborates how we collect, process, store and protect user data when you access and use our journey diary recording service. This notice applies to all users of the Brelan Journey Note application. Any behavior of browsing, registering an account and using internal functions of the application indicates that you have fully understood and unconditionally agreed to all terms of this notice. If you refuse to accept any terms, please stop using this application immediately.
1. Service Introduction & Age Eligibility
1.1 Core Service Description
Brelan is a dedicated private journey note application designed for users who love recording travel moments and daily trips. The core service focuses on private diary creation and management for personal non-commercial use. Users are allowed to upload various travel-related photographs such as landscape scenery, travel snapshots and destination photos, and match uploaded images with customized text content to record travel routes, visiting experiences, emotional insights and other travel-related notes. All created journey diaries can be stored inside the application for users to view, edit and manage at any time. This application does not contain any social sharing, public commenting or other interactive commercial functions.
1.2 User Age Restriction
Travel diaries often contain users’ personal preferences, travel tracks and other private subjective content. To protect user privacy and comply with global data protection laws, all functional services of Brelan are only available to users who have reached the age of eighteen (18) and hold full civil capacity within their jurisdiction.
This application does not target minor groups, and we will never actively collect any personal data from users under 18 years of age. Minors are prohibited from accessing and registering this application. Our team reserves the right to restrict device access and erase all residual cached data once unauthorized minor access is detected. Legal guardians can contact our official support email to submit data deletion applications if unauthorized usage occurs.
2. Scope of Collected Data
We always adhere to the data minimization principle during data processing activities. We only collect necessary data required to operate travel diary services, and explicitly refuse to collect sensitive private information including real-time location data, contact lists, biometric information, payment records and other irrelevant private data. The data we process is divided into two independent categories:
2.1 User Created Journey Content
It refers to all travel photos uploaded by users and original text diary content independently edited by users. This type of data belongs to exclusive private assets of users, and is only invoked to complete diary storage, modification and query functions as initiated by users. The operator will not actively browse, analyze or copy users’ private travel diaries without explicit authorization.
2.2 Anonymized Service Logs
Refers to anonymous statistical logs automatically generated during application operation, including function access frequency, system abnormal feedback, running error records and anonymized device identification data. This kind of data cannot be used to identify specific individual users and is only used for internal product optimization and technical fault troubleshooting.
3. Purpose of Data Processing
All acquired user data will not be used beyond the authorized scope or transferred to third parties for commercial promotion. We only process user data for the following legitimate and compliant purposes:
• Provide Basic Diary Service: Store users’ travel photos and supporting text notes, support real-time editing, content sorting and permanent viewing, helping users record and organize precious travel memories;
• Optimize Application Experience: Analyze anonymized service logs to fix software bugs, optimize content loading speed, adjust product operating logic and upgrade overall service quality;
• Maintain Compliance Operation: Review user uploaded content to prevent illegal and harmful information from being spread within the platform, and maintain a safe and standardized private recording environment;
• Process User Feedback: Respond to functional suggestions, usage doubts and technical failures submitted by users through the official email channel.
4. Data Storage & Privacy Protection
4.1 Storage Rules
All private travel diaries, including uploaded photos and edited text notes, are stored inside the application database. Users have complete ownership and independent management authority over all diary content, and can modify or delete any created travel records at any time according to personal needs.
4.2 Data Retention Policy
User-generated travel diary content will be retained permanently unless users manually delete relevant content or abandon the use of the application. Anonymized service logs stored on encrypted cloud servers will be automatically deleted within 30 days after collection to reduce potential privacy risks caused by redundant data accumulation.
4.3 Security Protection Measures
We adopt end-to-end encryption technology to protect users’ private travel diary content, and set up independent data access permissions to prevent illegal intrusion and unauthorized data reading. The platform formulates strict internal data management specifications to restrict internal employees from accessing user private diaries without valid reasons.
5. Data Sharing & External Disclosure
The operator promises to protect user privacy to the greatest extent. We will never sell, rent, trade or disclose users’ travel photos and private diary content to any third-party enterprises, social organizations and irrelevant individuals under any daily operating circumstances.
Data disclosure is only permitted under the following limited compliant scenarios:
1. The user voluntarily provides written or electronic explicit authorization to allow the platform to share specified diary content;
2. The platform receives mandatory legal orders issued by formal judicial institutions and administrative supervision departments;
3. It is necessary to disclose partial anonymized logs to eliminate network security vulnerabilities and maintain the stable operation of the entire application.
6. User Rights & Behavioral Regulations
6.1 User’s Private Data Rights
Eligible adult users have the right to view, revise and delete personal travel diaries stored in the application; the right to refuse the collection of anonymized service logs; the right to obtain detailed data processing statements by sending emails to our official support address.
